Solar tracker
(2017)What is it?
Working with ICRI researchers to create a prototype for an experiment in energy neutral operations. The aim is to test an algorythm developmed by Greg that decides whether it makes sense to rotate the sonal panel in the direction of the sun, weighing between energy spent moving versus potential energy harvested. The set up is simple: one device is static, one rotates every hour and one rotates based on thethe algorythm. The results were published the “Solar energy Harvesting optimization for Wireless sensor Networks” paper, accepted in IEEE GLOBECOM.
